Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy — InspectKit

Last updated: March 2026

InspectKit is a Chrome extension developed by The Creative Supply Co. This policy explains what data the extension does and does not collect.

What we collect

Nothing. InspectKit does not collect, transmit, or store any data of any kind.

How it works

InspectKit operates entirely within your browser. When activated, it reads CSS style values from elements on the page you are viewing and displays them in a local panel. Any changes you make are applied to the page in your browser only. Notes and change logs exist in memory for the current session only and are cleared when you close or deactivate the extension. Screenshots are generated locally and downloaded directly to your device.

What we don't collect

We do not collect personal information, browsing history, page content, keystrokes, or any other data. We do not use analytics or tracking tools. We make no outbound network requests. Nothing is sent to our servers or any third party.

Permissions explained

InspectKit requests three permissions: activeTab to inject the inspector panel into the page you activate it on, scripting to read computed CSS styles and apply live changes, and tabs to capture a screenshot when you use the camera tool. None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit data.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of InspectKit includes features that connect to external services, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
